Florence Drum Some meets Friday afternoons at 2 PM at the Florence Unitarian Universalist Fellowship (FUUF) Hall. Located at NW corner of the intersection of Hwy 101 & Heceta Beach Rd, about 3 miles N of Old Town in Florence, OR. We bring extra drums and shakers; first come, first served. All ages, no music or drumming experience necessary. We play mostly djembes, but have buffalo drums, Celtic bodhran players, doumbeks and more. Several Native American flute players weave in and out as well. Besides drumming, we often do a few simple chants. Once a month or so, we do slappity-tapping, bucket drumming, found object drumming. We hold cave drummings on the coast, but of course only at minus tides. A donation of $2 or more is welcomed, to offset costs for use of the FUUF Hall, but no fee is required. Contacts are: Key Krecker at keybythesea@me.com or Marlena at ifnotnow.zenwhat@hotmail.com [Source: drumcircles.net (last updated 2018). Please verify current schedule before attending.]
